Announcement: The Artificial Friday Colloquium turns international during winter semester 24/25!

On four Fridays in the winter term, we will delve into current research topics in artificial intelligence. In this sixth round of Artificial Friday, the focus is once again on linguistic perspectives: lectures and discussions will explore the relationship between language and AI, particularly how AI influences our linguistic interactions and communication. At each of the four sessions, two experts from the fields of linguistics, AI research or related areas will present scientific lectures.

For its sixth rendition, the Artificial Friday turns international (again) and welcomes researchers from South Africa, Ireland, Spain, Denmark and Switzerland. Among the speakers are: Theodora Dame Adjin-Tettey (Durban), Kerstin Fischer (Odense), Leah Henrickson (Brisbane), Annette Leßmöllmann (Karlsruhe), Bettina Migge (Dublin), Jose Belda Medina (Alicante), Helen Kelly Holmes (Limerick), and Cerstin Mahlow (Winterthur).

The lectures will take place online via Zoom and the event language is english. Participation is free of charge, and questions and discussions are warmly encouraged, offering participants a chance to dive deeper into the topics.

You can register via e‑mail at Nina Kalwa or the Artificial Friday website.
