Regis­tra­tion is now open – you can now register for the trans­form­at­iv con­fer­ence 2025 in Heil­bronn! From Decem­ber 2 to 4, the exper­i­menta Sci­ence Cen­ter and the RHET AI Cen­ter invite you to join them in reflect­ing on the trans­form­at­ive role of arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence in our soci­ety and devel­op­ing new approaches for sus­tain­able sci­ence com­mu­nic­a­tion: What does suc­cess­ful com­mu­nic­a­tion and action strategies look like in rela­tion to AI? Which ideas and approaches to AI cur­rently pre­vail, and how are they evolving? Which AI skills are becom­ing increas­ingly important?

The pro­gram includes inspir­a­tion from high-pro­file key­notes, prac­tic­al work­shops, and open exchange formats. Top­ics such as AI eth­ics and polit­ics, edu­ca­tion, par­ti­cip­a­tion, trans­dis­cip­lin­ary col­lab­or­a­tion, and cre­at­ive com­mu­nic­a­tion strategies will be cent­ral. With this con­fer­ence, we want to provide a space for exchange and dis­cus­sion, as well as for expert input. Togeth­er, we want to devel­op con­crete approaches on site for how sci­ence and soci­ety can shape change together.

Any­one who wants to act­ively engage with the social, com­mu­nic­at­ive, and cul­tur­al dimen­sions of arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence is warmly invited to attend. The sym­posi­um is par­tic­u­larly aimed at:

• Those inter­ested in sci­ence com­mu­nic­a­tion, edu­ca­tion, media, art, and related fields
• Indi­vidu­als both with a the­or­et­ic­al and a prac­tic­al access to AI
• Rep­res­ent­at­ives (includ­ing stu­dents!) of rel­ev­ant dis­cip­lines (e.g., AI eth­ics, com­pu­ta­tion­al lin­guist­ics, cul­tur­al stud­ies, machine learn­ing, media stud­ies, philo­sophy, psy­cho­logy, rhet­or­ic, polit­ic­al sci­ence and pub­lic admin­is­tra­tion, sci­ence and tech­no­logy stud­ies, tech­no­logy assess­ment, museum and exhib­i­tion work, etc.)
